Taylor GS Mahogany 2010 Limited

Taylor GS Mahogany 2011 Limited
Acoustic/Electric guitar $9995 rrp call for price

Figured mahogany is a rare delicacy in the guitar world, so on the occasions when it comes along, it deserves special treatment. This particular wood was discovered while harvesting hurricane blowdown in Central America, from which we were able to purchase only 75 sets. Premium Sitka spruce top that features Adirondack spruce CV bracing coaxes extra richness out of an already full-bodied GS voice. Ebony offers striking visual counterpoints in the armrest, mini wedge, backstrap and binding, while a new, engraved "Twist" fretboard inlay, designed by Taylor’s Larry Breedlove, adds a splash of abstract expression.

Taylor 310
Dreadnought body

Refined traditional shape with softened curves at the top and bottom Dreadnought six-strings shine as "plectrum" or "rhythm" guitars because they respond well to flatpicking or light-to-heavy strumming.

Taylor 314
Grand Auditorium body

- width and depth of a Dreadnought, its narrower waist adds treble "zing" across the guitar's tonal spectrum and sharpens the definition of individual notes. Mass is removed from the width of the braces so the guitar top moves faster, resulting in a snappy, bell-like tone. The GA is designed to be a strong fingerpicking guitar that also can handle medium strumming, and is exceptionally versatile.

Taylor 312ce
Grand Concert body w/cutaway

Smaller size, comfortable, "intimate" guitar. Its clarity, balanced response, scaled-down proportions, and scalloped bracing make it ideal for fingerstyle. Stage performers appreciate its body-friendly size and contours, and those who work in the recording studio love its controlled overtones.

Taylor Grand Symphony body

Though you might see similarities to a Grand Auditorium, the GS is unique in both sound and shape. Significant changes in its geometry yield a deeper, more piano-like bass. A wider lower bout and higher, wider waist return ample volume and low-end sustain, in symphony with fuller mids and balanced highs.
