Repairs and Maintenance

Guitars need regular servicing to maintain playability, electronics, action and tuning intonation. Changes in weather such as temperature and humidity as well as wear and tear on frets, nuts, saddles and strings can affect stringed instruments greatly.

We offer a complete repair and maintenance service including restrings, guitar setups, harmonic adjustment, new nuts, saddles and machine heads. We have qualified, experienced repairers and most jobs can be done in our on-site workshop. Warranties and some specialist repairs may need to be sent away for servicing. We'll let you know at time of drop off.

The prices listed are guidelines only as exact requirements for each job can vary. Strings and parts are not included. Please refer to the repair conditions listed on our repair docket.
Restring 6 string guitar - $30 plus strings 12 string guitar - $45 plus strings
Set Up and Service Includes where applicable: Action, neck adjustment, harmonic adjustment (intonation), fret polish and buff, fingerboard clean and oil. Restring Electric guitar - $110 plus strings Electric guitar with locking tremelo - $130 plus strings Acoustic Guitar - $110 plus strings Acoustic 12 string guitar - $130 plus strings Banjo, Mandolin - $110 plus strings
Other Maintenance Work Fret Dress - $165 Re-Fret Maple Fingerboard ( includes lacquer touch up and new bone nut) - $550 Re-Fret Maple Rosewood or Ebony Fingerboard ( includes new bone nut) - $495 Partial Re-fret - $295 Bone Nut - new nut cut and fitted - $95 Bone Compensated Saddle New compensated saddle cut and fitted - $70

Electronics Labour for repairs to faulty electronics are charged at a minimum bench fee of $45 for first 1/2 hour then $50 per hour after that. Parts extra	$45 minimum bench fee – first ½ hr $50 per hour plus parts

We also do a full range of guitar repairs and customisation including: Pickup installations Shielding Broken necks or headstocks Bridge plane Neck resets Refinishing Customising Restorations Etc. All quoted on an individual basis.
